At just 16, Mio participated in a national audition in collaboration with Sony and Shidax. Out of 2,400 participants, Mio received the Best Vocal Award. Later, Mio enrolled in university where she majored in child psychology while pursuing her music career. Soon after, Mio had the opportunity to become the lead vocalist at "Kennedy House Ginza," a renowned live venue established by the legendary Kunihiko Kase of The Wild Ones. For nearly 17 years until 2018, Mio poured her heart and soul into the stage at Kennedy House Ginza. Although Mio earned her certification as a psychologist, her irresistible love and passion for music led her to embark on her artistic path.

In 2006, Mio had the incredible honor of performing in Kunihiko Kase & The Wild Ones' 40th-anniversary concert at the Budokan. Fast forward to 2012, Mio grabbed the opportunity to be the main singer for Kunihiko Kase's produced band, “ONLY ONES,” and shared the stage with artists such as Getao Takahashi and Koharu from Charan Po Rantan.

In 2017, Mio released her first album, “SING LIKE A CHILD,” followed by her second album, “Skylight Waltz,” in 2020, and “kaleidoscope” in 2022.

Currently, Mio performs at various venues across Tokyo, Chiba, and Ibaraki.

The Origin

From an early age, music was an essential part of Mio’s daily life. Her passion for music ran so deep that she could effortlessly memorize songs and even some of the most complex English lyrics. Yet at that time, the thought of standing on stage felt almost unimaginable. However, life had other plans for her. Guided by what felt like fate, Mio embraced her gift as a singer and now she is thrilled to share her voice with all of you.

And a life-changing opportunity arose when her house band decided to part ways. Mio then chose to venture out on her own and became a freelance singer. This transformative move marked the beginning of an exciting new chapter in her career. Mio then set out to explore the limitless possibilities that lay before her.
